Last night, as we were getting ready to go to the party, Dustyn asked me what he should wear. I walked into the closet and quickly picked out a shirt. He looked at me with that crazy eyed look and said, "You want me to match you tonight?" I looked down and sure enough, I had picked out a pastel purple shirt for him to wear. I was wearing a purple shirt too. I think it's the only purple shirt I own. I thought we were running late, so I said, "It's okay, Dus, I don't mind tonight."
I can't even begin to tell you how embarrassing it is when everyone realizes that you and your husband match. They literally thought we had planned it since we were new and it would be easy to associate us by color. I began to wish that we had worn black or something; it probably would have been less noticeable than purple. I mean, really, what man wears purple willingly? I told Misty and Daniel about us almost matching on Sunday and she said, "Awww, you should have matched. Then we could have remembered you guys as the cute, matching, Texas couple."
This happens all the time to us these days. Subconsciously, we just think alike now. Yes, even when I'm not picking out his shirts for him, we match. Who knew that this happened.

Ha ha! I laughed at this! Y'all are already have an identity!
first, i should say that i really enjoy your blogs. it gives me things to read while i'm at work. :)
secondly, i think it's fun that you matched. i think it's even better that dustyn owns a purple shirt. =D you should start intentionally matching, or coordinating. make them think yall are way high-maintenance. it could be fun.
i love getting replies on these things. they make ME laugh. it's true, we already have an identity. we should totally work the "high-maintenance" thing. =D
If you think you match now...wait until you are married as long as dad and I are married! It's scary when you are thinking the same "absurd" thought, which has absolutely nothing to do with what is going on at the moment. It's really, really weird. As I mentioned in another blog....you are my daughter and you are bound to head in this direction too! Dad and I went through this matching stage....now we kinda try to match to let it be know that we are still married...ha, ha!!!!
Thanks for the "anniversary" emial.....we were having a great anniversary "meal"..on you and missed your call!
Love you bunches and bunches!
