dustyn and i celebrated our four year anniversary on thursday. he sent me the prettiest bouquet of fruit from 'edible arrangements' and it helped break the ice with some of the office people that i don't usually talk to. i mean, who doesn't want to chat while they're eating a flower-shaped piece of pineapple? :) i took a picture of it - i'll post it on here soon.
to celebrate, we went to see the phantom of the opera on broadway. it was absolutely fantastic. we were a little nervous at first because there was an insert in the brochure that said one of the main characters, christine, was being filled in by another girl. we kind of looked at each other like "man, this isn't going to be good." however, the girl was amazing. the only time there was ever a hint of a problem was when multiple people were singing at the same time. the acoustics in the civic center aren't ideal, but it didn't make that much of a difference. we rented a pair of binoculars so we could see the make-up - the costumes were spectacular.
hopefully, we'll have the opportunity to go to more shows in the future!
