Please pray

If you are in Austin and you've seen the news, you've probably heard about a guy and a girl found dead in an apartment in west campus today. I knew that girl. Went to college with that girl. She was a year behind me in the interior design program. Her name is Stacy Barnett. She was a tiny, cute brunette. The interior design program is small, so while I was in school, I saw her often. She was found dead today with her boyfriend.

I am shaking and sick to my stomach. I think I could puke. I was checking my email when a girl from Stacy B's graduating class...Stacy G., sent me an IM to ask if I'd talked to anyone. I had lunch today with Stacy G and Vidya. I thought Stacy accidentally sent me the IM, so I replied, "Huh?" She then proceeded to tell me about what happened and sent me to a link of the news story on the Austin American Statesman website. No details were given except there was trauma and that it's suspicious. Just now on the news the reporter said they've been scouring (sp?) the dumpsters around west campus for any evidence.

Stacy was supposed to be on her way home to Houston today. Her parents became suspicious and asked someone to go check on her. Please, please, please keep them and all of Stacy's friends in your prayers. Pray they find out what happened, and catch the person(s) that did
this (at this time, they've said it wasn't suicide).

The statesman found the interior design website with all of Stacy's classmates listed. They called each of them to ask for details and comments, without of course providing any information regarding what happened. My friend Kendra was the first to answer their call. Kendra
was supposed to stay at her apartment by herself tonight, but thankfully called a friend over to stay with her.

Everybody is so shaken up. Usually this is some far away story I barely notice, but this time, it was an acquaintance, a friend. I cannot sleep- it's nearing 1:30 am and I'm just so sick to my stomach. And scared.

Please pray for the cops and crime scene investigators working on this case. Help them find clues and bring justice.
