a week ago, i came down with a terrible, terrible cold. that completely turned into laryngitis and i lost my voice. never, ever have i lost my voice before. i missed work on friday and monday. i went back to work on tuesday and it went ok. wednesday was a little harder for me because i still wasn't feeling well and couldn't sit still enough to not have a 5 minute coughing marathon. i had to opt out going to a full day of meetings for a project, and i had been really excited to go previous to getting sick.
i went back to the doctor today and forced her to spend more time checking me out. the response i received was, "i'm not really sure what's wrong with you. we'll say it's a sinus infection and i'll prescribe antibiotics for you this time."
exciting, huh? it's not atypical for me to be told they don't know what's wrong, but it's a little frustrating. please just say a prayer that i can go back to normal, start sleeping normally (and horizontally --i have to sleep in an upright, seated position because i can't breathe and start panicking if i lay down) again, and get past this.
blah!
